The inconsistent styling and level of curliness of Klaus' hair in season 1 is so funny to me. It sometimes changes scene to scene. Which is not criticism of the hairstylists - Irish hair is a whole 'nother beast. It is both straight and curly, dry and greasy and if you try tame it through conventional means,like brushing it, you'll just make it angry. It sounds like I'm taking the piss but Irish hair texture is a genuine thing. It took me forever to figure out my hair and how to look after and style it because it doesn't not follow conventional curly hair rules.
